This determination arises from the decision of the authority to refuse to issue a code compliance certificate for an 8-year-old building. The refusal arose because the building work had been completed under the supervision of a building certifier and the authority is therefore not satisfied that the house complies with the requirements of the Building Code.
The matters for determination are:
- Whether the cladding as installed on the building complies with Clause B2 Durability, and Clause E2 External Moisture of the Building Code;
- Whether the building complies with the remaining clauses of the Building Code which are relevant to this house.
