This determination arises from the decision of the territorial authority to refuse to issue a code compliance certificate for 9-year-old alterations and additions to a house because it is not satisfied that the building work complies with clauses B2 and E2 of the Building Code.
The matters for determination are whether the cladding as installed on the house complies with clause E2 'External Moisture' of the Building Code, and whether the elements that make up the part of the alterations and additions comply with Building Code clause B2 'Durability', taking into account the age of the building work.
