Description

The application arises because the territorial authority has declined to issue a code compliance certificate as it considers that the monolithic cladding on a 3-year-old house may not comply with the requirements of the Building Code. The question to be determined is whether the monolithic wall cladding as installed to the timber-framed external walls, columns, and beams of the house  complies with the Building Code (see sections 177 and 188 of the Act).
