Description

The matters for determination were:

  • the decision by Approved Building Certifiers Ltd  to issue the code compliance certificate on 5 February 2004;
  • the decision taken by the territorial authority to issue the notice to rectify on 4 June 2004.

In relation to both matters for determination, it was necessary to determine whether the shiplap boarding and the monolithic wall cladding as installed to the timber-framed external walls of the house complied with the Building Code, given that the building's cladding was the focus of the application for determination.
