Description

This determiantion application arose from the refusal by the territorial authority to issue a code compliance certificate for an 11-year-old house unless changes were made to its monolithic cladding system.

The questions to be determined are:

  • Whether there were reasonable grounds that the external cladding as installed, that was applied to the external walls, columns, and beams of this house, complied with the Building Code .
  • Whether certain building elements, which have 5 and 15-year durability requirements, complied with clause B2 of the Building Code considering the time that had elapsed since the elements were constructed.
