Description

Building Code Clause F8 Signs is about providing identification of escape routes, hazards, emergency-related safety features and accessible facilities. Signs are required to identify escape routes, emergency-related safety features, potential hazards, accessible routes and facilities for people with disabilities. F8 Signs does not apply to detached dwellings, or within household units in multi-unit dwellings. Signs must be clearly visible and readily understandable under all conditions, including emergencies. The clause requires accessible routes to be identified with the International Symbol of Access.
