Description

The use of a building (or part) for the purposes of the Building Act 2004 is determined by the 2005 Regulations - specifically, the table in Schedule 2 of the Building (Specified Systems, Change the Use, and Earthquake-prone Buildings) Regulations 2005. There are currently 15 different use categories that a building might fall within, depending on the type of activity undertaken in the building or space.
