Description

This Standard specifies the uniform minimum requirements for manufacturers, designers, regulatory authorities, testing laboratories and similar organizations for the safety, performance and use of quick-connect devices for gas. These quick-connect devices are intended for use with natural gas, town gas, tempered liquefied petroleum gas and liquefied petroleum gas.

Scope

These requirements apply to quick-connect devices up to 50 mm size for use on natural gas (NG), simulated natural gas (SNG), town gas (TG), tempered liquefied petroleum gas (TLP) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG vapour). Compliance of a quick-connect device with these requirements does not imply that it is acceptable for use without supplemental tests in its intended application.
