Description
This Standard sets out a method of determining the annual performance of domestic solar and heat pump water heaters using a combination of test results for component performance and a mathematical model to determine annual load cycle task performance.
Scope
The procedure is applicable to solar water heaters with integral boosting or preheating into a conventional water heater and to heat pump water heaters. Solar and heat pump water heater types not covered in the application of this standard can be tested under AS 2984 or AS 2813 to obtain an annual performance assessment.
