Description

This Standard specifies materials and dimensions for washers for use with bolts, screws, studs and nuts specified in AS 1110, 1111 and 1112, in small and normal series and diameters from 1 to 36 mm for bright metal washers, and in normal series and large series and diameters from 5 to 64 mm for black steel washers.

Extra-large black steel washers intended primarily for the construction industry, washers from 72 to 150 mm diameter, non-preferred series, and thick bright steel washers are given in appendices.

Scope

This specification sets out requirements for flat metal washers for general engineering purposes, intended for use with ISO metric bolts, screws and nuts.
