Description

This Standard applies to thermostatically controlled thermal storage electric water heaters designed to work at pressures not exceeding 12mH2O (120 kPa).

The heaters are of vertical cylindrical form with copper vessels of 6.5 to 450 litres capacity, and are suitable for installation either open vented to NZS 4603 or valve vented to NZS 4607.

Water heaters to this Standard are not intended for installation in other than a vertical position.

Thermal storage water heaters for working pressures in excess of 12 mH2O (120 kPa) are specified in NZS 4606.
