Description

This revised edition of NZS 4541 supersedes NZS 4541:2003. It provides rules for the design, installation and maintenance of sprinkler systems in order that such systems reliably achieve their fire control function. That function is twofold; first, the fire must be controlled within a specified area and secondly, control should be achieved before levels of toxic or irrespirable products of combustion become life-threatening.

Scope

This Standard is an integrated set of rules for the design, performance, installation and maintenance of automatic fire sprinkler systems in buildings or structures or in firecells which form part of a building.
