Description

The determination arises from the authority's decision to refuse to issue a code compliance certificate for a house because it is not satisfied that the building work complies with certain clauses of the Building Code (First Schedule, Building Regulations 1992). The matters to be determined are:

  1. Whether the plumbing pipes and insulation installed within the walls of the house, which the authority considers has not been satisfactorily inspected, comply with the relevant clauses of the Building Code;
  2. Whether the elements that make up the building comply with Building Code Clause B2 Durability, taking into account the age of the 8-year-old building.
