Description

This determination arises from the decision of the authority to refuse to issue a code compliance certificate for a 6-year old house because it was not satisfied that it complied with various clauses of the Building Code (Schedule 1, Building Regulations, 1992). The matters for determination are:

  1. Whether the wall cladding as installed on the house comply with Clauses E2 and B2 of the Building Code;
  2. Whether the building complies with Clauses B1, C1, F2 and F4 of the Building Code;
  3. Whether the building elements comply with Clause B2 'Durability' of the Building Code, taking into account the age of the building work.
