Description

This determination arises from the decision of the territorial authority to refuse to issue a code compliance certificate for a 10-year-old house because it is not satisfied that the building work complies with Clauses B2 and E2 of the Building Code. Given the scale and complexity of the building, the information and evidence that has been made available, and the lack of clarity about other matters the territorial authority believes to be non-compliant, the matters for determination are therefore limited to: 1- Whether the roof and wall cladding as installed on the house complies with Clause E2 External Moisture of the Building Code; 2- Whether the building elements comply with Clause B2 'Durability' of the Building Code, taking into account the age of the building work
