Description

This determination arises from the decision of the territorial authority to refuse to issue a code compliance certificate for a 3-year-old house because it was not satisfied that it complied with the Building Code. The refusal arose because the building work had been undertaken under the supervision of a building certifier, which was duly registered as a building certifier under the former Building Act 1991, but which lost its approval as a building certifier before it issued the code compliance certificate.
